Few people in life are lucky enough to touch the lives of those around them in such a profound way that those lives are changed forever. Lisa Ann Arnold, 51 of Roanoke, Virginia, was one of those few people. She was born August 19, 1960 in Bluefield, West Virginia to James and Nora Booth. After high school she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she graduated with honors from Georgia State University with a degree in special education. Teaching special education was one of the things that made Lisa stand out. Her passion, dedication, and love for her students were evident to those around her. She worked with them to accomplish goals that previous teachers had overlooked or found too difficult to address. She received high recognition and many awards for her performance. On June 18, 1982 she married her high school sweetheart, James Arnold, in a small ceremony in the Arnold family’s backyard. On June 29, 1988 their first child, Adam Arnold was born. Four years later on March 3, 1992 Lisa gave birth to a second child, Victoria Arnold. Lisa was known for her fierce love for her children and husband. Those who knew her will never forget her sweet disposition, compassion, and love for people from all walks of life. Her memory will always live on with Jim, Adam, and Tori Arnold of Moneta VA, sisters Sandra Lange of Bluefield WV, Mitzi Bowling of Bradenton FL, Patsy Wasson of Bradenton FL, Norma Booth of Windemere FL, brother Ralph “Monty” Booth and many special nieces and nephews. Those wishing to share memories, stories or special messages in their own special way with the family may do so 7 PM Friday June 8th at Bluefield City Park shelter 2. Please contact sister Mitzi at 941-720-3618 for interests in sending condolences and flowers or send to 90 Bryant St Bluefield, WV. 24701.
