Debra L. Huff, 60, of Roanoke, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012. She was a teacher in Botetourt Co. for 35 years, volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House with the “Magpies”, member of the National Education Association, former president of the Botetourt Educational Association, and an avid reader and gardener. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Lesbirel and is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, E. Huff; daughter, Carlea Huff; her aunt, Edna Disbrow; two sisters, Karen and her husband, Billy Young, Carol Peebles; two twin brothers, Mike and Kathy Lesbirel, Mark and Janey Lesbirel; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Dale Dobroth, Nelda Nelson; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward M. Ridout officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 2224 South Jefferson St., Roanoke, VA 24014.
