Biography

Hazel Martin Capito of Roanoke died Wednesday evening April 25, 2012. Hazel was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church and had taught children’s Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest V. Capito, Sr and is survived by her children, Ernest V. (Buddy) Capito, Jr. and wife Denise of Roanoke, J. Michael Capito of Palm Harbor, FL, Peggy St.Clair and husband John of Roanoke, Terry A. Capito and wife Betsy of Daleville; her grandchildren, Melanie Capito, Kimberly Palmer and husband Brian, Jennifer Waggener and husband, Chris, Nicholas and Brandon Capito, 7 great grandchildren, her daughter-in-law Shirley White of Salem. The family would like to thank the staff at South Roanoke Nursing Home for all their care and concern for Hazel during her illness. A graveside service will be held in Sherwood Memorial Park, Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. Robert Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Friday 5 to 8 PM at Oakey’s South Chapel 540-989-3131
