Biography

Patrick W. Costello of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Veteran's Medical Center Hospital, Salem, VA. Patrick was born on October 10. 1946 to the late Mae and Walter Costello. He is survived by a brother, Walter Costello and his wife, Ann of Seneca Castle, N.Y., two sisters, Sister Mary F. Costello, RSM of Cumberland, Rhode Island, sister, Eileen Costello and husband, Robert Matzen, one niece, 5 nephews, 4 grand nieces and 2 grand nephews.

Patrick graduated from Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. with a B.A. degree. He was retired from the Maintenance Dept. at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 9 at Oakey's South Chapel with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Friends may also visit on Tuesday, April 10 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Nazareth Church on Electric Road. A Mass of Christian burial at the church will be at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow for family and friends in the church Fellowship Hall.

Interment will at St. Andrew's Cemetery, Roanoke, VA

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Veterans Medical Center Hospital in Salem.VA and Our Lady of Nazareth Church, Roanoke.
