Biography

Jennie Marie Belcher, 85 years of age, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. She was born August 11, 1926 and is preceded in death by her loving husband, William M. Belcher, and her son, William M. (Billy) Belcher, Jr.

Jennie Marie was the daughter of the late James Gustes Moore and Audry Perelee McMahan Moore. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray and Henry Moore and her sisters, Edith Cormell, Alene Duff and Jean Secrist.

She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Sue B. Lucas (Lennie), Juanita Wilburn (Shahn) and her two grandchildren whom she dearly loved Melissa Lucas and Howard L. Lucas II (Len); her baby brother Leon J. Moore (Buddy) and wife Reedie and her brothers in law Dick Duff, Jasper Secrist and A. F. (Bill) Belcher and many nieces and nephews.

She was loved by all especially her care givers, Michelle, Gloria, Carolyn, Becky, Beverly, Jacki, Jerry, and Kathy who took very good care of her.

She loved her family, dogs, babies and her favorite show “Gunsmoke”

She will be sadly missed. Services will be at 12 Noon Friday, March 30, 2012 at Oakey’s East Chapel with Pastor Shahn Wilburn, Pastor Vannie Harrell and Pastor Carey Harrell. Interment to follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-8 Thursday, March 29 at Oakey’s East Chapel.
