Kate Hogan (scout friend)Dear Pelish Family,My heart goes to you for the untimely of Troy. I had the pleasure of working with him at Camp Powhatan and meeting him. Troy was a ray of light for the boys that went through Brownsea Island because I could tell Troy lived his job. Thank you for such a wonderful friend. 02/15/2012
Matthew RosendahlFrom the bottom of my heart, and the heart of all those that worked with Troy at Camp Powhatan, for all those who stand here with me at The College of William and Mary in memory of such a great colleague and friend, and finally for his brothers in Tutelo Lodge and the Scouting program, I send my deepest sympathies to the Pelish family. Know that this will strengthen us all by teaching us to cherish all those whom we love. I love Troy, and he was a great friend. My prayers are with him and all of you, always. His memory will not fade from those of us who had the privilege of knowing the truly outstanding man that he was. It brings me great peace to know that he did not waiver from changing humanity for the better. We will continue that legacy.02/15/2012

Sharing in your sorrow, thoughts and prayers are with you and yours, Dan, Donna, Kyle and Kein Haley 02/15/2012
Brandon PaceAs an adult leader in Scouting, I was blessed to witness Troy working with my son and other boys during his Brown Sea Island experience at Camp Powhatan two summers ago. Troy was patient and kind to lead these young men in learning skills necessary to achieve First Class. He has planted the seeds so they can also share their knowledge and skills of Scouting to others. The boys of the Flaming Toilet Paper Patrol thank you for being a mentor and will continue to honor your memory as they prepare to go to Philmont this summer.02/15/2012
